Our consulting and managed services create value for our clients.

Updata plc

Updata is a global leader in market technical analysis software for the Bloomberg platform. Reliability and network speed are critical to their business and after being badly let down by their previous host, Updata became a Dudobi client in 2003.

In a move that both saved money and improved dependability, we consolidated the management of half a dozen mission critical dedicated servers for Updata. The contract is currently worth about £40,000 per annum and we are proud to say that they continue to be delighted by our responsive service and great uptime.

Updata is one of the world’s leading providers of financial market tools to investment banking professionals. Huge volumes of data stream in constantly via live Dow Jones feeds from both the London and New York Stock Exchanges (LSE and NYSE). Any interruption in their hosted services is a major problem for Updata and their previous hosting company unfortunately let them down on a regular basis. When clients began to suggest leaving Updata, they knew they had to make a change.

Dudobi proposed a consolidated solution that solved all of Updata’s service problems in one fell swoop – and saved them thousands of pounds each quarter in the process. Our team spent time with their technical delivery division to carefully plan a seamless migration of service to Dudobi’s network. Dedicated lines to their offices, the LSE and the NYSE were installed, and high-speed, redundant data links were setup throughout to ensure near-100% uptime.

A secure VPN and robust Service Level Agreement (SLA) completed the package. Updata has entrusted their business to Dudobi for over seven years and hasn’t looked back.
